Best Mediterranean Food in Stroudsburg

This is the quintessential quick stop! I can't recommend the chicken shawarma platter enough. You won't be disappointed. And, i say this as someone who typically dislikes Mediterranean food. They have won me over completely! The chicken is tender and well seasoned. The rice is perfectly cooked and contributes a lot to the dish. The pitas are warm and yummy. This mostly family run business is incredible!! Definitely one of those hidden gems. I wish we lived closer. The lentil soup is amazing with a little spice kick, the hummus is one of the best I've ever had, another favorite top thing I've tried is the artichoke salad especially if you like garlic! I seriously think you can't go wrong with anything you order. I forgot to mention the chicken shawarma with the yummy garlic sauce perfectly seasoned.

This family run restaurant is one you WONT want to miss! They are the kindest, most hospitable, caring people we’ve ever met. It was my sister’s birthday and the owner was more than accommodating. Walking us through the different dishes, bringing the food to us, treating the birthday girl to baklava. 🥰❤️ The food was phenomenal! We had the gyro pita, grape leaves, hummus baba ganache, lamb and chicken kebabs, and chicken shawarma.

12/14 Update Just had to go back again. Lamb platter and souvlaki platters were amazing. Beet salad, baba ganoush, and Lebanese coffee were so good. Their baklava was especially fabulous! Most baklava anymore is too sweet to begin with and then it is drowned in sweet syrup. Cesar’s baklava is flaky, nutty perfection! Thank you again. Cedars is a small place that seems to do a lot of takeout. There are a couple of tables outside and a couple inside. We ate inside. It isn't fancy, but it is an inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent and plentiful. I had the chicken swarma platter that came with 2 sides. I chose the 3 bean salad and the beet salad. My wife had the kiby and a fatoush salad with chicken. Everything was excellent. I highly recommend Cedars Grill.
